Revcord MMS 13.3 Has Arrived: What's New for Public Safety?

Public safety technology continues to evolve, and recording platforms must evolve with it. As communications centers face growing demands for quality assurance, cybersecurity, NG9-1-1 readiness, and operational efficiency, having access to modern tools is more important than ever.

That's why Northland & Companies is excited to highlight the release of Revcord MMS v13.3, the latest version of the Revcord multimedia logging platform. Revcord MMS 13.3 introduces major enhancements across AI-powered quality assurance, security, search and transcription, recording assurance, integrations, and system reliability.

Smarter AI-Powered Quality Assurance

One of the biggest advancements in MMS 13.3 centers around quality assurance and evaluator workflows.

New capabilities include:

  • Weighted QA questions for more accurate scoring
  • Transcript-linked evidence that jumps directly to the portion of the call supporting a score
  • QA appeals and score override workflows
  • Evaluation assignment and validation processes
  • Digital sign-off functionality
  • Reviewer comments at both the evaluation and question level
  • Inclusion and exclusion controls for individual calls
  • Automatic classification of low-audio calls as non-evaluations
  • Dispatcher notifications when evaluations become available

These enhancements help supervisors spend less time managing evaluations and more time improving dispatcher performance and training outcomes.

Enhanced Search and Transcription Capabilities

Finding information quickly is critical in today's communications centers.

MMS 13.3 adds several new search and transcription features, including:

  • Search by Speaker: Users can now locate calls based on identified speakers rather than relying solely on dates, channels, or extensions.
  • Priority AI Processing: Calls can be moved to the front of the AI processing queue when immediate transcription or scoring is required.
  • Improved Transcript Editing: Multi-word transcript corrections allow users to edit phrases and sentences more efficiently instead of correcting one word at a time.
  • AI Translation: A new AI-powered translation capability allows transcripts to be translated into English directly from the transcript interface.

Major ReVI AI Enhancements

Organizations leveraging Revcord ReVI will see several powerful new capabilities.

New additions include:

  • Speaker removal functionality
  • Dedicated processing lanes for long-duration calls
  • AI-powered call searches through ReVI Bot
  • Improved QA score queries
  • Server failover and database synchronization

Revcord also enhanced QA evaluation accuracy, topic classification, speaker recognition, ReVI Bot response quality, and knowledge base functionality.

These improvements help agencies gain more value from AI-powered workflows while improving accuracy and reliability.

Recording Assurance Takes a Big Leap Forward

A standout feature of MMS 13.3 is the addition of several recording assurance tools designed to help agencies proactively identify issues before they become problems.

RevCheck: RevCheck acts as a secondary VoIP recorder that compares recordings against existing call records and updates records when anomalies are detected.

RevDoc: RevDoc automatically analyzes recordings for audio quality problems such as:

  • Low volume
  • Echo
  • Background noise
  • Static
  • Stuttering
  • Non-human audio

The system generates alerts when issues are identified.

RevInactivity Monitoring: The new inactivity monitoring capability tracks historical channel activity and automatically generates alerts when expected activity is absent.

Together, these tools help agencies improve recording reliability and reduce the risk of missing critical communications.

Stronger Security by Default

Cybersecurity remains a top priority for public safety agencies, and MMS 13.3 introduces several significant security enhancements.

  • AES-256 Recording Encryption: Beginning with version 13.3, recordings are encrypted by default using AES-256 encryption and site-specific keys once the logger is enrolled with Revcord's key service. This helps protect sensitive Criminal Justice Information (CJI).
  • Two-Factor Authentication: MMS 13.3 introduces email-based one-time passcode (OTP) authentication for local logger and hosted logins, adding another layer of account protection.
  • Updated Deployment Tools: Enhancements to RevWatch and licensing utilities further improve system administration and deployment management.

Improvements for Instant Recall

MMS 13.3 also improves the popular Instant Recall feature with:

  • Automatic recording list updates
  • Faster responsiveness
  • Shared resource groups across workstations
  • Radio metadata display
  • Caller ID and dialed number display
  • Unique recording ID visibility
  • One-click identifier copying
  • Spacebar playback controls
  • Improved export functionality

These enhancements make it faster and easier for personnel to locate and review recordings in real time.

Expanded NG9-1-1 and Integration Support

Version 13.3 also expands support for modern communications environments with improvements to:

  • NG9-1-1 i3 environments
  • Text-to-911
  • SIP MSRP text recording
  • Carbyne integration
  • LDAP integration
  • WebEx recording support
  • AIS radio failover
  • RevAgent stability improvements

These updates help agencies prepare for evolving communication technologies while maintaining compatibility with existing systems.

Significant Reliability and Performance Fixes

In addition to new features, MMS 13.3 includes dozens of bug fixes and performance improvements affecting:

  • AI QA dashboards
  • Playlists and sharing
  • Reports
  • Search exports
  • Instant Recall
  • Playback
  • Logger services
  • Windows Server 2025 compatibility
  • Radio integrations
  • SIPREC recording
  • Speech-to-text processing

The result is a more stable, scalable, and reliable platform across the entire Revcord ecosystem.
