about Liberty Meeting!

The Liberty Meeting Recorder is a PC-based audio recording program designed to run on a standard PC using the Windows operating system. The Meeting Recorder integrates with Microsoft Word and allows the user to create "bookmarks" as cue points into the recording files. The system can record video as well as audio and the resulting material may be saved into a format to be posted onto a web site.

Instead of using analog tapes, the Liberty system records proceedings to a PC’s hard drive. The hard drive may be located on either the local PC or on a central server elsewhere in the network. After a recording is complete, the file may be moved to a CD, a DVD, or any other PC-compatible storage media. Audio files can be copied and moved throughout a network just like any other type of file.

Liberty Meeting Recorder can record from one to thirty-two discrete channels, making it the ideal solution to address the needs of small hearings, depositions, courtrooms or larger meetings and assemblies. Liberty Recorder is available in hardware bundles that include the appropriate multi-channel sound card to address your recording requirements. Options also include a laptop configuration that allows the mobile user to create multi-channel recordings.

Liberty Meeting Recorder features include:

  • The ability to record on multiple channels, allowing for the isolation of any individual channel during playback. You can record from 1 to 12 discrete channels.

  • A visual display of the audio recording levels, during both recording and playback.

  • Confidence monitoring of the audio recording to allow for listening to the recording while it is being captured.

  • The ability to playback the audio, while at the same time, continuing to record the proceedings.

  • A Bookmark feature that allows bookmarks, or tab stops, with text, to be imbedded into the audio file. Subsequently, the bookmarks allow you to easily cue to a particular point within the recording.

  • A file Mirroring feature that simultaneously records the audio data to a network drive or a CD or DVD drive.

  • An integrated video recording facility that captures the video into the same file as the multi-channel audio.
